Tears, Tails and Tomorrow, Animal Rescue Heroes
The story of just a few of these lucky animals in Cornwall that have been rescued and saved from unfortunate circumstances. Offering hope and the possibility of a better life.
Britain is a nation of animal lovers. Although humans have interacted with animals for thousands of years, pet-keeping didn’t become socially acceptable in Britain until the 18th century. By the nineteenth century that first animal welfare charity had been started. Unfortunately, many of these pets today do not have a happy life. Some are abandoned, or uncared for. Others are injured or sick. The lucky ones find their way to Rescue centres. The bad days are sad and difficult, the good days are few and far between. The images showcase only a small percentage of the tears, tails and hope of tomorrow. Tales from the Cats Protection Cornwall Branch to Last Chance Hotel give the gift of excitement and life back to those animals who have been let down by human kind or Mother Nature.
